Disneyland Paris Princess Lunch Review
Auberge de Cendrillon is the one place within Disneyland Paris that you can dine with the princesses. We had upgraded to the premium meal plan and wanted to do as many character dinings as possible. We therefore decided to book ADC, along with Inventions, Cafe Mickey, Buffalo Bills Wild West Show and breakfast at Plaza Gardens.
Disneyland Paris Princess Lunch : When To Book
When we booked Disneyland Paris were advised to book our dining options 60 days prior to arrival. We are so glad we did! Christmas at Disneyland Paris is busy and so we saw a lot of people being turned away on the night we visited. Obviously character dining options are hugely popular so the earlier you book, the better! You can book online through the online reservation system or ring the Disneyland dining reservations line.
For more information on booking, please see the Disneyland Paris website.
Disneyland Paris Princess Lunch : Where is it?
The Disneyland Paris Princess Lunch takes places inside Auberge de Cendrillon (Cinderella’s Inn). Auberge de Cendrillon is situated inside Fantasyland within the main Disneyland Park. It’s so pretty from the outside, and you can see Cinderella’s carriage outside the restaurant.
We were greeted by Cinderella’s mice friends, Suzy and Perla, and shown to our booths inside the medieval banquet hall. Our surroundings were stunning. It was simply magical, from the archways, decor and well dressed staff, the attention to detail was outstanding.
Disneyland Paris Princess Lunch : The food
We were a bit worried about the food when we booked. We knew it would be “fine French cuisine”, or as my husband called it, “pretentious!”
I was concerned it would be a bit too high brow for the kids’ taste but they did manage to find something to eat. They all actually enjoyed their pumpkin soup, and they opted for pasta for their main course. It wasn’t their favourite meals in terms of the food offered, but I felt you were paying for the experience rather than the food.
My husband had the shrimp and I had a chicken dish which was lovely.
The desserts though were something else! They were so well presented and absolutely delicious!
Disneyland Paris Princess Lunch: The Princesses
I believe you never know for certain which princesses you are going to meet during the Disneyland Paris Princess Lunch. It often depends on which who is meeting guests at the Princess Pavillion that day. During our visit we saw Belle, Aurora, Cinderella, Ariel and the mice Suzy and Perla. Belle and Ariel are my daughter’s favourites so we were relieved to be able to see them without having to queue for two hours at the Princess Pavillion. We didn’t see Rapunzel or Snow White but my daughter didn’t seem to mind.
Disneyland Paris Princess Lunch : Our Experience
I was slightly concerned when we booked the Princess Lunch whether my daughter would love it as much as I hoped she would. I needn’t have worried! She was in complete and utter awe! Even more miraculously, even our two boys aged 7 and 9 enjoyed it!
Considering the restaurant was fully booked, it didn’t feel too busy. Our booth was practically in a corner which perhaps helped it not feel too crowded. Our waiter was wonderful. He was funny and engaging and the kids loved him.
In terms of character interaction, it was the best we experience during our whole trip. It was wonderful. It didn’t feel rushed or chaotic at all. The princesses serenely made their way to each table and ensured to spend time with each child. The excitement on my daughter’s face when she saw Belle making her way over is a memory I’ll cherish forever.
All the princesses were brilliant and seemed completely at ease engaging with the kids. Belle in particular made such a fuss of our daughter who was in her absolute element!
The mice, Suzy and Perla, were also brilliant and one even squeezed in to sit next to my oldest son who was feeling a bit awkward surrounding by princesses. He was torn between wanting to appear “cool” and wanting to engage with the characters. He soon let his guard down and began to enjoy himself.
The children were given colouring pencils and something to colour in while they waited which was a welcome distraction for my daughter who kept squealing in excitement!
I genuinely loved every minute of the Princess Lunch. It was the highlight of the trip for me and every bit as magical as I’d hoped.
I’ve been inside here but I didn’t eat there. It looks so pretty though and worth it for kids!
It looks truly magical, worth the upgrade. We have never been to Disneyland, my girls are 11 and almost 13 now and my son is 7 – I would still love to take them one day.
It does look like all of your kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It is a great experience that they can treasure forever.
Looks like an amazing visit and that carriage is fantastic. Would have to be all about the puddings for me though.
We go next year and I am so tempted to do this, it is just so expensive!!! It looks amazing though my kids would love it.
We’re actually considering Disneyland Paris and booking Auberge de Cendrillon in the not too distant future so this has been very helpful!
Aww, smiley faces are always the best. This experience sounds wonderful and I can see from the pictures that everyone had fun. I miss not having a girl.
Was that a chocolate shoe?! Excellent! We’ve only ever spent a day at DLP – alas my kids are too old for Disney
OMG this looks like such an awesome place to spend time with the family and eat some good food.
I have to admit when it goes to Disneyland everything sounds ideal to me! but this place really looks superb!
What a lovely experience, It looks like the characters were fabulous with the children and that dessert looks amazing
Unfortunately we couldn’t afford this experience when we went to Disneyland, however we’ve heard such good things about it we would definitely incorporate it into our next trip and I know my daughter would love to meet the princesses.
Oh no, how did we miss this when we were there. My daughter would have loved this
I have been curious about Disneyland Paris but there is just so much to see and do in Paris I haven’t taken the time to explore it. The restaurant alone sounds like it makes to trip worthwhile. Really want a glass slipper dessert!!!
This is so exciting to read as we have DLP booked for March and lunch with the Princesses. Hopefully my girls enjoy it as much as your daughter did!
Looks like a good bit of fun for the kids, the dessert looked like a work of art, just fabulous.
I love Disney and I am so happy to see that you guys enjoyed the one in Paris. I have always wondered about that one. Thanks for sharing.
How wonderful to dine with Princesses and carriages. I am sure my daughter would love to dine at Auberge de Cendrillon when we visit Disneyland Paris.
Wow! This sounds sooo much fun! Hope you had a wonderful time.
One of our favourite places to eat in Disneyland Paris, its just so beautiful inside.
It sounds like such a fun experience, well worth paying the extra money for. I have been to dosneyland before but never experienced any of the character dining options, I’m obviously missing out!
Oh my gosh how fun is this?! I absolutely love Belle so much too!!!
