Welcome to our Disneyland Paris Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show Review!

During our Disneyland Paris trip we wanted to see as many characters as possible. This didn’t just include meet and greets, but also watching the various shows and parades on throughout the day. When we booked our trip we opted to pay extra for the Premium Meal Plan. This meant we could book our character meals and it would be included in the price. Also included in the price was Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show.

Whilst not a character dining in the traditional sense, Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show enables you to watch your favourite characters within the show as your food is brought around to your seats.

Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show Review

My initial impressions of Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show was absolute bedlam! There didn’t seem to be a proper queuing system and it was a bit of a free-for-all as we were all making our way in. Things were much more organised once we made our way in.

On our way in we were told which colour “team” we would be in which determines which section of the arena we would be sat in. We were given our yellow trimmed cowboy hats (which we got to keep) and we made our way into the bar area. You can buy drinks here as you wait for the pre-show to start but bear in mind your drinks are free when you get upstairs (providing you want beer, water or coke!)

We booked for the 6.30pm show but as recommended we got there an hour early. This allowed us to battle the queues and also see the pre-show which is definitely worth a watch.

As part of our meal plan we could have Category 2 seats, or pay a supplement for Category 1. We stuck with Category 2 and were more than happy with our seats. We were sat midway up and the view was great and we had no trouble seeing all the action.

The show was fantastic. It was engaging and interactive and the kids loved it. They had great fun cheering on our yellow team members during races and games. It was also a great opportunity to see the characters in a different environment, and wearing clothes other than the Christmas clothes we had previously seen them in.

Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show Review – Food and Drink

There isn’t a menu, everybody is served the same food which could cause issues for some. The food was mostly meat based, chilli and skillet with with potato wedges for the main course and warm apple pie and ice cream for desert. The kids had chicken, sausage and wedges, with ice cream for desert. The lack of choice could be a negative for some but we’re all meat eaters in our house so we weren’t concerned by the lack of choice.

My husband’s highlight was the unlimited beer brought around to our seating area! You could choose from coke, water or beer, all of which were unlimited. The staff were attentive but not intrusive as they left us to enjoy the show.

All in all it was a brilliant night. It was such a relaxed atmosphere and so much fun. I honestly think it would be worth going even if you’re not a fan of the food. The show alone is worth the entrance fee in my opinion. Definite a highlight of our whole trip!
