- Prioritise what you want to do – If you have a full-time job then you really don’t have the time to do everything that needs to be completed throughout your home and so it makes more sense to prioritise what needs attention and what can wait. Run your household in a realistic manner and have realistic expectations of yourself. There is no reason why you can’t set a schedule where your kids do certain jobs on certain days of the week.
- Encourage cleaning as you go – Your children have got into a very bad habit of eating their meals that you have prepared for them and then just put in the dirty dishes into the sink. This needs to stop and so encourage them to wash the dishes when they are finished with them, dry them and put them away. If you encourage everyone to clean up as they go then this makes life easier for you.
- Buy the best cleaning products – You may be tempted to save yourself some money by going for the cheaper cleaning products but this is mistake. Once you find something that really works and makes life easier then this is what you purchase every single time. This no reason why cleaning your home can’t be a little bit of fun and so put on your favourite music as you work from room to room.
- Shift some of the responsibility – If you live in a house with your partner and your teenagers then there’s no reason why you can’t start including them in some of the cleaning duties. All of your kids just sit around playing games all day and so get them to do their specific chores around the house.
