When it comes to our packing lists, one item that always has to be added is a towel. Either for swimming, lying by the pool or lazy days on the beach, it’s a must have for our family trips away. With five of us to pack for we can practically fill our suitcase with towels due to their bulky size and weight, and that’s before they become wet, heavy, and full of sand.
Enter Tesalate! Bulky, heavy towels are now a thing of the past!
Who are Tesalate?
Tesalate are an Australian brand that originally launched at Bondi Beach markets. Specialising in lightweight, sand free beach towels, they went on to a be a huge success with sales to over 70 different countries in their first 12 months. They now have customers in over 130 countries and have become the most reviewed beach product ever.
Tesalate only sell beach towels and as such have become experts in creating the perfect beach towel, using their exclusive AbsorbLite™ fabric. They’re sand free, meaning you don’t take half the beach home with you. Simply brush it off! They’re also ultra absorbent and dry in half the time of a regular beach towel.
When we were offered the opportunity to review a Tesalate towel we jumped at the chance. We couldn’t wait to find out if it lived up to our expectations.

Tesalate Towel Review
We chose to review the extra large towel which is designed for two people to use at once. It’s huge (160cm x 160cm) and the perfect size for family use. We also chose the colourful Alchemist design which is just as vibrant and eye catching as it appeared on the website.

The towel arrived in a handy drawstring bag and it’s hard to believe such a large towel could be condensed into such a small, compact package. It makes it perfect for travelling. The towel can be rolled up and popped into a bag but we choose to fold it and keep it in the drawstring bag when we’re out and about.

Since our summer holiday has been cancelled (thanks COVID) we knew wouldn’t have as much need for beach towels. However, that is what’s great about Tesalate towels, they’re so versatile! They can be used beside the pool, as a picnic blanket, for indoor workouts and activities…the possibilities are endless.
We chose to take ours with us on our trip to Carlisle Castle. We popped the drawstring bag into a backpack and due to its compact size and light weight, it was no trouble to carry around all day. When it became time to have a well earned rest, out came the towel. It has a different texture and feel to it than a traditional towel so it makes the perfect picnic blanket. As you can see there’s so much room! There was plenty of space for all five of us to sit.

The grass we placed it upon had been freshly mown so was covered in tufts of grass. The kind that sticks to EVERYTHING! When it was time to leave, the underside of the towel was covered in grass. However after one vigorous shake it all simply dropped off. Amazing!
We won’t hesitate to take it on all our days out now, and can’t wait to use it at the beach. I would definitely buy the individual sized towels for our holidays knowing how much space they can save.
The towels can be bought direct from the Tesalate website and they offer free shipping to the UK. Prices start at £49.
Disclaimer : We were offered a complimentary towel for the purposes of this review but as always opinions are my own.

Oh I love the look of this!! I’d love a nice big towel like this! And it’s great that it comes with its own drawstring bag too!
I have a tesalate towel and I have to admit I love it – it amazes me how small they fold up and are so easy to carry around.
Oh this looks so good and such a decent size too.
What a lovely pattern and design of this towel . It’s a good size too and the carry /storage case is a great addition.
This sounds like the kind of towel we need! I hate it when you are somewhere and your towel gets covered in stuff that is hard to get off.
This looks an excellent towel, sturdy and big and still stylish, would make a usefull one for the beach, great review.
We love our Tesalate Towels. We take them with us to the beach, the park, everywhere.
That towel is so pretty! I would get some if I knew if they’d ship to the Philippines. The drawstring bag makes taking the towel with you anywhere more convenient. Love the design too.
I have a coupe of Tesalate Towels and bring these with me often when I head to the beach as they dry quickly, light weight and sand-free. Great idea as using them as a picnic blanket as well
I like the look of this! This would be perfect for if you want to go to a picnic in the park in this gorgeous weather!!
These towels sound perfect for travels and days out. Love the designs too😍
These look fab, we live in Bournemouth and although I love the beach, sandy towels are no fun, especially when trying to dry the kids
