We have recently started to plan and save for our “forever home”. We are starting to outgrow the house we bought before we found out we were having our third baby. Realistically we are looking at least another year or two before we’re ready to take the plunge. That doesn’t stop me planning though!
I have ideas of how I would decorate the lounge and my Pinterest is full of kitchen inspiration. One part of our home that is so important to us in the garden. It’s the place the children play and home to our rabbits. I dream of a massive garden where it can accommodate all of us with room to spare!
Here’s just some ideas I’d love for my ideal garden.
Lawn Area
We would love a huge lawn area for the children to play on. Paving can look lovely and we’d love decking in our seating area but we would love a large part of the garden to be grass, not only for aesthetic reasons, but also so the children have somewhere to run around and play in a comfort. Water Feature
I’ve always felt my calmest when looking at water. There’s something so tranquil and peaceful when you’re looking out to sea, or merely just listening to the sound of water. I therefore would love some kind of water feature in my ideal garden. Nothing huge or ostentatious, just something to help me relax. I love the idea of relaxing on a hammock, listening to the sound of the water! You can find some amazing hammocks online and it would just be the ultimate indulgence.
Bright Flowers
I love colour. The brighter the better! At the moment our garden is just various shades of green! I haven’t got the enthusiasm to do much with it knowing we won’t be here in a few years time. For my ideal garden I’d like colour. Potted plants, window boxes, hanging baskets and border plants!
A Tree
Perhaps a bit of a random choice, but I would love a tree in my back garden. We had one in our old house and I just loved it. Yes, it’s extra work keeping the branches pruned and clearing the leaves and blossom that fall onto the grass, but a garden leaf blower vacuum would soon sort that out! 
Seating area
At the moment our rather small garden is taken over by kids play equipment and rabbits! In my ideal garden I’d love the space to have a proper seating area. Space for comfortable chairs, a table and a BBQ. A place we could sit in the summer evenings – bliss!
