My husband is a massive Liverpool fan. He has been all his life and he’s now educating our kids to support “The Redmen”

When it comes to buying him gifts, I felt like I’d exhausted all the football avenues. He has all the shirts, mugs, scarfs and memorabilia and so I’d resigned myself to having to think outside the box this year.

I’d never seen anything like it before and knew instantly it would be a big hit with my husband. The book is full of headlines and articles from 1906 up to the present day. The older news articles are obviously in black and white while the newer ones are in colour.

I’m not a huge football fan but it’s hard not to have an awareness of the game, and Liverpool in particular, when your family members are such big fans. I found myself reading through some of the earlier articles, reading about names I’d heard both on TV and via my husband. From Bill Shankly to Jurgen Klopp, and Kenny Dalgliesh to Sadio Mane – it’s actually quite interesting even as a non-enthusiast to read about the team’s progression (and declines!)

The final pages being dedicated to Liverpool’s famous Champions League victory earlier this year is the perfect end to the book.

The book can be personalised on the front which gives it that extra special touch if you’d planning on giving it as a gift. The book itself is a really good size and the pages and the cover are of brilliant quality. If you’re not a fan of Merseyside’s reds, there’s plenty of other teams to choose from, both from English and Scottish leagues.

I’m honestly delighted with the quality of the book and the service from The Gift Experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
