While I’m certainly no expert photographer, I LOVE taking photos. I have so many pictures of the kids and it just seems impossible to display them all. That was until I discovered Nixplay Seed.

The Nixplay Seed is not your average digital photo frame. With Nixplay you can upload your photos directly from your smartphone using the official app. This means you can constantly change the photos on display whenever you wish. Therefore when Nixplay asked whether I’d like to try one out, I of course said yes*.

How To Set Up The Nixplay Seed

I am not technically minded at all so I was anticipating having to ask my husband to help set it all up. However it was surprisingly simple! Within the box is both a US and a UK plug and you simply attach it to the charger which also doubles as a stand for the frame.

I downloaded the app, signed up to Nixplay and connected the frame to the app via wifi. This whole process took just a few minutes. It was simple and pretty self-explanatory. You use the remote provided to type letters, navigate and select options. Through the app you can create different play lists and simply select which one you want to display. Again this is really easy to set up.

Functions Of The Nixplay Seed

As well as being able to send your photos directly from your smartphone, you can also share your pictures with friends and family. You can send them privately either singularly or as a complete playlist. They don’t even need to have a frame, as long as they have downloaded the app. It’s also possible to invite people to share their photos with you.

You can also display videos on the frame as well as photographs. The frame can support up to 15 seconds per video clip and the volume can be altered using the remote control. You can also alter the colour balance of photos and videos if needed.

A great feature of the frame is the motion sensor. The frame turns on whenever you enter the room, and off whenever no motion is detected. A great energy saver!

Our experience Of The Nixplay Seed.

There are a variety of colours of the Nixplay Seed to chose from. We picked Mulberry as a good match for our bedroom and the colour was exactly as we expected. We personally love it; it matches our decor yet doesn’t distract from the eye-catching colour and vibrancy of the pictures it displays.

I was initially concerned that the photo quality may be affected since the photographs are sent through the wifi connection. I needn’t have worried! The photos are crisp and vibrant, perfect for displaying our favourite summer pics! I also love that we can have different playlists. It means I can change the photos depending on season, visitors or simply just my mood! I can’t wait to display all our summer photographs on it during the next few weeks.

The charging wire is quite strong and robust yet also flexible. This wire is also used to stand up the frame,  meaning there’s no additional bulk. This means it can fit pretty much anywhere. The flexibility also means that you can stand it upright in the portrait position or horizontally for landscape photos. You could have different playlists depending on how you wish to display the frame, so if your pictures are predominantly in landscape you can set the frame up horizontally.

Overall we’ve been really impressed with our Nixplay Seed. It looks great, it’s good quality and it’s very easy to use.

If you’re looking to display your own Summer photos, head over to Nixplay as they currently have 15% off to celebrate Summer Solstice! Don’t miss out!
