When it comes to family holidays we have enjoyed our fair share of child-orientated hotels. We loved the Disneyland Hotel in Paris and had an excellent time at both CBeebies Land Hotel and Legoland Hotel Windsor. We’re constantly looking for holidays that are family friendly and it’s easy to assume that as parents our days of luxury holidays are over.

I’m constantly adding new destinations to our many travel bucket lists and I’m always looking for holiday inspiration. The Azure Collection website is the perfect place to do just this! Experts in luxury travel, Azure offer holidays to locations such as The Grenadines, Maldives and Mauritius. All of which look absolutely heavenly.

Whilst drooling over the white sands and aquamarine seas, the family travel section caught my eye. Quite often when I imagine true luxury holidays, I find myself thinking “but the kids would be bored”. I was wrong! The more research I’ve done, the more I’ve realised quite how much these stunning locations can offer the children. Azure Collections allow you to select what you want from the holiday; children’s club, spa, swimming pool etc, and they show a list of the most beautiful hotels that fulfil your requirements.

Here are just some of the places I’ve just had to add to (yet another!) travel bucket list.

Antigua

Antigua is such much more than just a picturesque island. This Caribbean Island is perfect for relaxation but there’s also plenty to do for those wishing to. Scuba diving and boat excursions are popular with families, along with zip line tours, horse riding and helicopter trips. The luxury Antiguan resort of Carlisle Bay has kids clubs available for children as young as six months where they can get stuck into activities ranging from water sports to movie screenings.

For older children there’s also Stingray City. Recommended for children aged 10 and up, visitors are given the opportunity to snorkel with friendly and gentle southern rays. It sounds like such an amazing experience.

Dubai

Dubai may be famous for its skyscrapers and beaches but there are also plenty of museums and galleries to visit with the family. The world famous Atlantis The Palm resort sounds like the ultimate in family luxury. From waterparks and record-breaking slides, aquariums and Dolphin Bay, this is the perfect place to combine opulence with fun activities.

Bali

If you’re looking for a luxurious family holiday in Asia, Bali may be the answer. There’s the stunning beaches and relaxing spas but there’s also plenty activities to keep everyone entertained. We’d love to visit the statues at GWK Culture Park and see the special sunset dance at the Uluwatu Temple. The views look spectacular!

St. Lucia

St. Lucia is the perfect example of a idillic Caribbean island. It’s renowned for the Pitons twin peaks and we would love to go on one of the boat trips to Sugar Beach to get the best views. Cap Maison Resort & Spa looks like the perfect base for a stay in St Lucia. Located on a secluded sandy beach you can relax in style (if the kids allow it!) but there is also so much to do. Snorkelling, paddle boarding and windsurfing are just some of the complimentary water-based activities on offer.
