Others, however, won’t find it such a happy time, and even if it really is the best thing for everyone, they’ll still feel sad about the end of their relationship – many say that you’ll grieve when you get a divorce, just as you would if someone died. Practice Self-Care
You’ll have a lot on your mind both during and after a divorce, and you’ll need to organize a lot of things, from childcare to finances. You’ll need to work out what it is that makes you happy and make sure you fit it into your schedule when you can. It could be taking a long, bubbly bath with a book and a glass of wine, for example. As tempting as it might be to poke and prod at your ex and start (or join in with) arguments with them, the best thing to do is just step away. You’re not married anymore, it’s all over and done with, so arguing really isn’t going to achieve anything except to make you feel bad, and when you’re searching for your happiness, that’s the last thing you’ll want.
If you’re finding it hard to be civil, it’s wise to speak to a therapist or find a friend to help you get through the difficult times. That’s a much better option than constantly arguing with your ex and not being able to get past your issues.
