As we are based in the North West of England most of our adventures take place here in the UK. Our UK adventures covers everything from days out with kids, theatre visits and hotel reviews. Our hotel reviews have a focus on locations that can sleep all five of us in the one bedroom.
We are National Trust members so we visit and review a lot of NT properties. Our children are 4, 7 and 10 and so our days out are always aimed towards something that will suit all three of them. This is a similar challenge when looking for theatre shows!
Christmas at Dunham Massey always seems to be something special. We’ve been aware of the Dunham Massey Christmas lights for a while now as they’ve been running since 2017 (and will be running again in 2020.) We’ve never spoken to anyone who has been and not loved it so we had high expectations of a great experience.

We’ve had some great festive days out, including Chester Zoo Lanterns but we knew Beamish was going to be something special. In previous years the tickets sold really quickly so this year we were finally organised enough to book ahead. The Christmas At Beamish events run in the evening so we decided to go to Newcastle for the weekend so we could visit on the Friday night.
