We believe you’re never too early to experience the joys of the theatre. We regularly take all three of our children on theatre visits, and have done since they were tiny. We’ve visited beautiful theatres such as The Lowry, Waterside Arts and HOME and found them all to be family friendly. Here you’ll find reviews of our the theatres shows we’ve attended with the kids.

Alice in Wonderland Tour at Waterside Arts – Theatre Review

KD Theatre Productions and Scott Ritchie Productions have teamed up to bring the Alice in Wonderland Tour to venues across the UK this Autumn (there are also dates in May 2020.) Audiences are invited to follow Alice down the rabbit hole and watch as her adventure unfolds. The performance features new music and lyrics as the classic story is retold.

Elmer The Patchwork Elephant Show at King George’s Hall – Theatre Review

I think most of us are familiar with David McKee’s famous stories of Elmer. I grew up with them and now my own children are big fans. We were therefore delighted to be invited to Blackburn’s King George’s Hall to see a performance of Elmer The Patchwork Elephant Show. We music and vibrant puppets, it promised to be a treat for all the family. This is our honest review.
