Continue readingAfter previously visiting Chester Zoo Lanterns, we were interested to see Knowsley offer a similar experience. Enchanted Christmas at Knowsley Safari Park seemed to be a smaller version of what Chester Zoo offered and while don’t walk around carrying lanterns, the light up animals looks really affective. We therefore decided to book tickets to see how the two compared.

We’ve been aware of the Dunham Massey Christmas lights for a while now as they’ve been running since 2017 (and will be running again in 2020.) We’ve never spoken to anyone who has been and not loved it so we had high expectations of a great experience.
Continue readingVisiting Beamish at Christmas has been on our wish list for years. We’ve had some great festive days out, including Chester Zoo Lanterns but we knew Beamish was going to be something special. In previous years the tickets sold really quickly so this year we were finally organised enough to book ahead. The Christmas At Beamish events run in the evening so we decided to go to Newcastle for the weekend so we could visit on the Friday night.
