For The Kids

The Best Dinosaur Gifts For Children This Christmas

With Christmas just around the corner, many of us are on the hunt for that perfect festive gift for our loved ones. If you have a dinosaur fan in your family, first of all, welcome to the club! Secondly, you may find yourself on the lookout for dinosaur-themed gifts. Well, look no more! I’ve completed this round-up of what I think are the best dino gifts for kids.

Dinosaur LEGO

If there’s one thing my kids love as much as dinosaurs, it’s LEGO. A combination of two can create the perfect Christmas gift. There’s a whole range of Jurassic World LEGO available but we love this LEGO Jurassic World Baryonyx Dinosaur Boat Escape set. It’s perfect for kids aged 8 and over and comes complete with four minifigures, a posable Baryonyx, baby dinosaur, fish toy figures, and accessories including a tranquilizer, Taser and dinosaur eggs.

Dinosaur Roar Board Game

Based on the popular series of books and characters created by Peter Curtis, Dinosaurs Garlore! is a Dinosaur Roar board game. It’s a great gift for existing fans of the books or could also be gifted alongside one of the stories. It’s a fun and engaging board game for 2-4 players, aged 3 years and over.

Orchard Toys Dinosaur Discovery Jigsaw Puzzle & Poster

I love Orchard Toys. We have so many of their educational games and puzzles and all our kids have loved them. The Dinosaur Discovery Puzzle contains 150 pieces and is suitable for children aged 5-9. I love all the small details, especially the facts in the border around the jigsaw.

Melissa and Doug Dinosaur Stamp Set

Melissa and Doug are another favourite brand in our house. They have a great variety of educational toys and are the number one preschool brand for wooden toys. They do a great range range of Wooden Stamp Sets including this brilliant dinosaur one. The set contains 8 wooden stamps, 5 coloured pencils to colour in their creations and a two coloured stamp pad with washable ink. It’s a great gift for children aged four and above.

Natural History Museum Dinosaur Torch & Projector

This Dinosaur Torch and Projector from The NAtional History Museum would make a great stocking filler. It can be used as a torch for nighttime reading or adventures, but also has three interchangeable discs which create 24 dinosaur images that can be projected anywhere this torch is shone. Aim the torch at the ceiling or wall when one of the discs is in place and the pictures will shoot up to 1 meter wide. A great gift for dino fans aged 3 and over.

Dinosaur Encylopedia

No dinosaur fan should be without their very own Dinsoaur Encylopedia. This DK Encylopedia was released in 2019 so has all the up to date information, including exclusive images of the world’s most complete fossils and and digital images that reflect the latest findings on feathered dinosaurs. The book is aged at dinosaur lovers aged 9-12 years.

Conclusion

Hopefully you’ll have found some inspiration within this post when it comes to buying a gift for the dinosaur fan in your life.
