Who would have thought at the start of 2020, we’d be here discussing face masks?! But here we are!
The government’s decision to make face masks mandatory while shopping, which has now been extended to all indoor places, means the demand for face masks is at a high. I work in a pharmacy so as a “key-worker” I have worked throughout the various stages of lockdown. At work we come into contact with a variety of patients and customers and so we have protective screens and surgical grade masks. They’re not the nicest things to have attached to your face for nine hours a day but needs must.
When it comes to personal use I wanted something a little more fun. I was therefore delighted to be offered the chance to try out the face masks from Treat Republic.
Treat Republic offer face masks for both adults and children in a variety of patterns. Whilst it’s not essential for children under 11 to wear a mask, it’s nice to have the option. My eldest is 11 so needs to wear one in public indoor spaces and as we’re in Greater Manchester, one of the areas hit by further local lockdown restrictions, you can’t be too careful.
There’s so many fun designs for the kids to choose from. My daughter chose the animal woodland theme, whilst my sons chose the space and football themes. I chose the pastel sky theme for my own face mask and it’s so much nicer to look at than the surgical ones I’m used to!
Each mask is double-layered with a pouch to insert a filter and comes with two filters provided. They’re washable and reusable and great for adding a bit of personality to your face wear. They have slogans, animals, bold prints and floral designs to choose from. There’s definitely something for everyone. The ear loops are soft elastic which makes them comfortable to wear and allows them to fit a range of face sizes and shapes.
Treat Republic are also helping raise funds for NHS Charities Together by donating £1 for every mask they sell to support NHS Staff and volunteers.
We found them so comfortable to wear. As I mentioned earlier, my younger two don’t need to wear them by law, but actually enjoy wearing them. I think it’s the novelty of the fun designs! There are two little adjusters in each pack so you can adjust the mask for the perfect fit.
We’re excited to be able to offer the chance to win one adult and one child mask thanks to the lovely people at Treat Republic. The giveaway is being run on Instagram, so head over to be in with a chance of winning.

The masks from treat republic are great aren't they? I love that they are washable so you just use then throw in the wash and you can pop filters into them.
I have some masks from Treat Republic and love them, so far it is the only mask I have used that I feel most comfortable in x
My son would love the footie face mask. I've only got disposable masks at the moment so might have a look at what they have to offer.
These are such great patterns. I made ours but I'm so glad that children don't have to wear them.

Lovely striking patterns! Loving the children's mask design especially , as this will encourage and motivate kids to wear their masks when they are out and about.
I love how many cool designs you can get on masks now, the kids ones especially are so cute. I got a basic black one to begin with as I needed one quickly but have since picked up another reuseable one x
Ohhhh I love the funky designs! I've worn a mask all the way through, even before they became compulsory. I've definitely felt more reassured when shopping. Masks with funky designs definitely help! Sim x
