Now the drab and dreary month of January is finally over, I’m starting to look forward to Spring. Daffodils, warmer days, lighter evenings and yes, Mother’s Day. I’m particularly looking forward to it this year after having to share Mother’s Day with my eldest son’s birthday last year. No lie in for me!
To me Mother’s Day is different to birthdays and Christmas when it comes to buying and receiving presents. Receiving expensive, fancy gifts is always nice but this day is about the bond between a mum and her children. For that reason I love receiving something personal. It doesn’t matter how big or how small, just something that I know is just for me. Be it personalised cards, or homemade crafts the little ones have made themselves, there’s something special about opening something that so much thought has gone into.
With that in mind, KAYA Jewellery have created a beautiful and affordable range of mum and child jewellery. KAYA Jewellery is a company set up by fellow mum, Tanja, who named the company after one of her two children. They specialise in beautiful personalised jewellery for both mothers and their daughters. They do some truly gorgeous matching sets but also some stunning stand alone jewellery too.
KAYA gives you a choice of chains both in style and length – I opted for the longer length Jasseron style. I also chose the light pink opal stone to sit along side my children’s names. I was delighted that there was enough room to fit all three names on, and although it must have been a fiddly task, the engraving is clear and easy to read.
The only other jewellery I wear is my engagement ring and wedding ring (which too is engraved) and so it’s nice to have something else that has meaning behind it. I have worn this necklace daily since it arrived and I’ve been thrilled with it. It’s subtle and timeless and I love wearing something so personal and unique to me.
There are some really gorgeous items on the KAYA Jewellery website and I am delighted to be teaming up with them to offer a lucky reader a £40 voucher. This is an amazing prize. You could treat yourself or a loved one and can be certain you won’t be disappointed.
For full details please see the terms and conditions below.
I was sent this necklace by KAYA Jewellery as a gift in exchange for this post. As always all opinions are my own and based on my own honest experience.
